Horses, ponies among animals killed in barn fire
HANOVER TWP. A 35-year-old pony used to help children learn to ride was one of the animals who died in a morning barn fire on Stahlheber Road Tuesday, July 27, according to family members.Three horses, two ponies and a goat were killed in the blaze that broke out shortly after 8 a.m. and destroyed a barn behind a home at 2471 Stahlheber Road. Fire officials say no people were injured.

The Outside of Ponies Is Good For the Inside of People
Diva Pony and Howe K. Sipes, Jr., age 91. On July 20, 2010 two ponies visited Life Pointe Village, a Faith-based Retirement Living facility in Southaven, MS. It was Western Week, so I took Mr. Sipes (resident Howe K. Sipes) ponies for a visit, arranged by Tracy Higgins, Life Enrichment Coordinator.
